SS 17

The vibrant brushed tones of Tom Hopper’s cinematic masterpiece “The Danish Girl” are the inspiration for our SS17 collection: organic fabrics such as hemp, linen and silk replace Gerda Wegener’s canvases, developed in an essential color palette of burnt red and brown, dusty white and washed out blue are combined together. The original textures of raw materials, with their natural wrinkles and pleats, are left untouched, suggesting an idea of effortless luxury that relate to a pure and essential aesthetics.

Values and composition

Certain style suggestions from the 20’s and 30’s (like rounded and shawl collars) are reinterpreted and integrated with the brand’s signature silhouettes. Solid volumes and graphic patterns celebrate the structural innovation and the elimination of any superfluous ornament: are introduced new shapes such as the Sahariana, the trench coat, an unconstructed short blazer, the Bomber jackets, (stripped of their utilitarian identity) and thought to be worn with slim trousers, long and short skirts as to crate an elegant yet contemporary look.
